Very few of you will know this (mealzlovessocks is the exception) but I am a Christian. I have been for about five years now. My faith waxes and wanes, but it is always there just below the surface of things.

One of the wonderful things I discovered when I became a Christian was the music. One girl above all. Brooke Fraser is a New Zealand artist who was touted as the next big pop thing (even though I wouldn't describe it as pop at all) but under all her music is God. Unless you listen to the lyrics very closely you'd never know, not at all.

She's released a new album with a beautiful song about a tragedy in Rwanda. She's been working as a missionary and has changed a lot of lives, including her own. She's a genuine role-model, and if I could do anything with my life and my skill it would be something like she has done. I just wish I had the guts.



She's an amazing advocate for human rights. And she has an amazing voice.

She's also incredibly good-looking and her father was an All Black.



Amazing.

Also, the video for her new single Shadowfeet. It's a very interesting study in New Zealander's if you ask me.
